BAN Yuva

A youth participation network for awareness, peer leadership and responsible community action.

Lead through useful participation

BAN Yuva gives young adults a route into campaign volunteering and campus activity. The emphasis is on learning, teamwork and responsible communication. Volunteers can support awareness sessions, creative campaigns and approved community activities while working with an adult institutional coordinator or the event team.

Build a team with a clear purpose

Start small: identify a coordinator, choose one achievable activity and agree who will handle logistics and communication. Teams should review educational materials before sharing them, respect permissions for photography and keep participants informed about what is confirmed. Good coordination matters more than the size of a public claim.

Peer leadership with boundaries

A peer leader encourages participation and points people towards appropriate resources. The role does not include diagnosing health concerns, investigating others or providing treatment. If a conversation becomes personal, respect privacy and encourage the person to speak to a trusted adult or qualified professional.

Connect with the campus challenge

Institutions can use the proposed 90-day framework to organise planning, activity delivery and review. Record what was actually completed and seek consent before using photographs or quotes. Avoid publishing individual health information or presenting attendance as proof of changes in substance use.

Join through the volunteer form

Tell the team your institution, interests and availability using the volunteer application. Applications are for adults. Parents, guardians or authorised coordinators can enquire about supervised participation for younger people. Roles and event access require confirmation.
